Romans 12:9-21

I came across the following text when I was reding my Bible last night and found it very helpful and an excellent reminder...

Behave Like a Christian

9 Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good. 10 Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another; 11 not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord; 12 rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer; 13 distributing to the needs of the saints, given to hospitality. 14 Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. 15 Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep. 16 Be of the same mind toward one another. Do not set your mind on high things, but associate with the humble. Do not be wise in your own opinion. 17 Repay no one evil for evil. Have regard for good things in the sight of all men. 18 If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men. 19 Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it is written, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,”says the Lord.
20 Therefore “ If your enemy is hungry, feed him;
If he is thirsty, give him a drink;
For in so doing you will heap coals of fire on his head.”
21 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

Esmé Update...

Just a little update on Esmé… she was moved back to the St. Thomas hospital, so that is a good sign in itself. However, she is still hooked up to an oxygen incubator and she is being tube fed… After undergoing the tests in London, they determined that she has a defective heart valve which they hope will heal itself within the next fourteen days. Without the incubator, she turns blue, which is why we are definitely thankful for such advanced technology! Please pray for Esmé and Dan& Mel as well, as they struggle with going home every night without their precious baby. Mia and Ksena are staying at our house for a few days, so hopefully that will help them some. This is a great reminder that God is so good. When little babies are born, a lot of the time we just take for granted that they are in good health, that they have ten fingers and ten toes. Dan & Mel have been blessed in the past with two healthy little girls, what a great blessing, eh? We can only pray that Esmé's condition will improve and that Dan & Mel can soon welcome her into their home and introduce her to her two big sisters! Here is a picture of little Esmé:

HEY EVERYONE--- I'M AN AUNT AGAIN!

My sister, Mel just had her baby early this morning...another girl!! We haven't been allowed to see her yet because she has a heart murmur... the following was taken from Mel's blog:

Esme´ Margaret Elizabeth
Was born at 4:08am this morning
Weight: 7lbs.12oz.

Esmé has a heart murmur, so she is being admitted to London Hospital for further testing (since St. Thomas has limited equipment) Mel will not be admitted to London, but her and Dan will be able to visit Esmé in London.

“For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother’s womb. I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvelous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well” - Psalm 139: 13-14
